My goal is not simply to visit famous sites. Every day is planned strategically around habitats, target species, timing and local knowledge to give you the best possible birding experience.
Having explored Kenya extensively, I know where and when to look for the species that make Kenya special — which forest track the francolins walk at 06:30, which tide pushes the Crab-plovers close, and which remnant of Kinangop tussock still holds Sharpe's Longclaw this season.
Every day starts from your target list and works backwards — which habitat, which hour, which track. Famous sites appear only when they serve the list.
Papyrus species call for ninety minutes after dawn. Mida's waders come close two hours before high water. Getting there is easy; getting there at the right moment is the job.
The site guides at Arabuko-Sokoke, Kakamega and Baringo know individual roost trees. I work with them rather than around them, and they are paid properly for it.
I run trips at both ends of the price range and will tell you honestly which suits yours — including the days you do not need a guide at all.

I spent a morning birding with Adarsh in Loresho swamp area and environs in September. It was a delightful time full of sights, sounds and interesting educational information on birding as well as thrilling new sightings for me. Adarsh has a contagious passion for birds. He is gifted in bird calls and patiently relays the calls in a charning method using mnemonic and phonetic simple tools in a way you can register and try to hear and remember for yourself. You will be sure to see and hear lots and you'll get a detailed list of all birds seen and heard at the end. Adarsh is careful to show you the birds you see when he captures them (usually via great shots) on his camera that moment and he has a genuine interest for you to grow as a seasoned birder by joyfully sharing his knowledge. He is courteous, focused well organized, fun and communicates very well. Highly recommended!
