Built around you, not around a coach schedule
I do not offer fixed group tours because every birder has different goals.
Whether you are searching for Kenyan endemics, building a life list, photographing birds, or exploring Kenya at your own pace, each itinerary is designed around your interests, budget and birding style.
A photographer needs long sessions in good light at few sites. A lister needs coverage and pace. Someone on their first African trip needs neither — they need the common birds seen properly. Those are three completely different itineraries through the same country, and pretending otherwise is how people end up disappointed.

Tell me what you want
Target species, dates, budget, how hard you want to push, and whether you are carrying a camera. The more specific, the better the itinerary.
I draft a route
Built backwards from your list: which habitats, in which order, at which time of day and season. You get the reasoning, not just the schedule.
We argue about it
Usually two or three rounds. This is the part that matters — most trips improve substantially between the first draft and the last.
We go birding
Plans adapt in the field. If a site is dry, or a bird has moved, or the light is wrong, we change the day rather than following the paper.
Previous tours I have run
Birding Sites in Kenya
Six regions mapped, with the sites in each — access, habitat, best season and the species that make them worth the drive.
AlsoBirding Kenya on a Budget
Kenya is only expensive if you bird it the way the brochures assume. What the cheap route costs, and what it costs you.
